Battery recycling

Batteries,
safely taken back

Dry cells, lithium-ion packs, laptop and phone batteries, inverter and UPS batteries. Batteries are hazardous when thrown in bins, and valuable when recycled: they hold copper, aluminium, steel, nickel, cobalt and lithium. We collect them, sort them by chemistry and route them to recycling.

What we take

Whatever you
have, we take it

Working or dead, whole or broken, one item or a full truckload.

Dry cell batteries

The everyday cells from remotes, clocks and toys.

  • AA, AAA, C & D cells
  • 9V batteries
  • Button & coin cells
  • Alkaline & zinc-carbon cells
  • Rechargeable NiMH & NiCd cells

Lithium-ion batteries

The rechargeable packs in nearly every portable device.

  • Laptop batteries
  • Mobile phone & tablet batteries
  • Power banks
  • E-bike & scooter batteries
  • Tool & drone batteries
  • Solar-light & small storage packs
  • EV battery packs (bulk, by enquiry)

Lead-acid & backup batteries

Heavy batteries from power backup systems.

  • Inverter batteries
  • UPS batteries
  • Car & two-wheeler batteries
  • Industrial & telecom batteries

What is recovered

What comes
back out

Recovered

Copper & aluminium

From electrodes, foils and casings.

Recovered

Steel & nickel

From cell cases and electrodes.

Recovered

Cobalt & lithium

From lithium-ion cathode material, where specialist recovery applies.

Recovered

Lead & plastics

From lead-acid batteries, sent for controlled recovery.

How it works

From your store room
to recycled

  1. 01

Tell us the type & quantity

Dry cell, lithium-ion or lead-acid, with approximate weight or count. Photos of labels help.

  2. 02

    Safe packing & pickup

Damaged, swollen or leaking batteries are flagged before collection and packed separately.

  3. 03

    Sort by chemistry

Batteries are sorted by chemistry, because each type is processed differently.

  4. 04

    Route to recovery

Each chemistry is sent for recovery of its metals through the appropriate channel.

  5. 05

    Documentation

Weights and recycling documentation for your compliance records.

Handling batteries safely

  • 01Never burn, puncture or crush a battery: lithium-ion cells can catch fire.
  • 02Keep swollen, hot or leaking batteries apart and tell us before pickup.
  • 03Tape the terminals of loose lithium and 9V cells, or bag each one separately.
  • 04Do not mix lithium-ion with lead-acid or dry cells in one container.
  • 05Keep batteries dry and away from heat until collection.

Questions

Common questions

How do I dispose of used dry cell batteries?+

Do not put them in household waste. Collect them in a dry container and hand them to us for recycling: we accept AA, AAA, button cells and other dry cells in any quantity.

Do you take lithium-ion batteries from laptops and phones?+

Yes. We collect laptop batteries, phone batteries, power banks and e-bike packs. Tell us if any are swollen or damaged so they are handled safely.

Do you buy inverter and UPS batteries?+

Yes. We buy used inverter, UPS, car and industrial lead-acid batteries. Price depends on type, size and weight; we quote after inspection.

Is battery recycling regulated in India?+

Yes. The Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 set producer responsibility and recycling requirements for batteries. We provide weights and documentation to support your records.

Can you collect large quantities from a business?+

Yes. We arrange pickups of bulk battery lots from offices, factories, telecom and solar sites in Bengaluru and Karnataka.

What can be recovered from a battery?+

Copper, aluminium, steel and nickel, plus cobalt and lithium from lithium-ion cells and lead from lead-acid batteries, depending on the chemistry.
