Copper cable
and wire scrap

Copper cable is the most valuable kind of wire scrap. We buy it by the kilo or by the truckload, insulated or stripped, from a single power cord to a factory's full cable run. It is graded by expected copper yield, weighed in front of you and paid on documented weighment.

About copper recovery →
  1. 01

    Inspect & grade

Cable is sorted by gauge, insulation and armour, since each grade yields a different amount of copper.

  2. 02

    Weigh in front of you

Every lot is weighed on a calibrated scale and recorded, so the weight you are paid on is the weight you saw.

  3. 03

    Strip or granulate

Thick cable is stripped. Thin and mixed cable is granulated, and air and density separation splits copper from plastic.

  4. 04

    Recover & document

Clean copper is bagged and dispatched for remelting into new wire rod. You get the weighment slip and paperwork.

Questions

Copper Cable FAQ

What is the copper cable scrap rate today?+

Copper moves daily with the metal markets, and cable is priced by the copper it will yield. Share the cable type, approximate weight and a photo and we will quote a rate for that day after inspection.

Do you buy insulated copper wire and cable?+

Yes, insulated copper is the most common lot we buy: PVC, rubber and XLPE-insulated wire of every gauge, single core or multi-core. It is priced on the copper that will be recovered after stripping or granulation, so thicker copper and thinner insulation earn more.

Do you buy burnt or unstripped cable?+

We buy cable as it comes, stripped or not. We do not encourage burning cable to expose the copper: it releases toxic fumes, damages the metal and lowers the price you are paid. Bring it as it is.

Do you buy armoured cable?+

Yes. Armoured cable is graded separately because of its steel layer. We weigh it and price it by expected copper content.

Can you collect cable from a site or factory?+

Yes. We arrange pickups from offices, factories, warehouses and demolition sites across Bengaluru and Karnataka, with weighing and documentation for every load.

What is the minimum quantity?+

None. We take a few kilos from a household or electrician up to full truckloads from industrial clients.
