Copper
extraction

Copper is separated from cables, motors and coils mechanically, with no burning and no chemicals. Physics does the work: copper is more than six times as dense as the plastic around it.

01 · In

Insulated cable scrap

Power and data cable, graded by type before it's processed.

02 · Stripped

Insulation comes away

Copper is more than six times denser than the PVC around it.

03 · Granulated

Strands become clean granules

Chopped, then separated by air and density: no burning.

04 · Out

Copper, ready to melt

Granules go to rod mills and refiners as new copper.

Step by step

From what arrives
to what leaves

  1. 01

    Intake & grading

Every load is weighed and sorted by type: thick power cable, thin data cable, harnesses, motors and coils.

    Equipment
    Weighbridge, sorting bays
    Principle
Grade drives value: bright, mixed and insulated copper are priced differently.
    Output
    Graded lots
  2. 02

    Pre-shredding

Cable bundles and harnesses are cut down to short lengths so the granulator can take them evenly.

    Equipment
    Twin-shaft shredder
    Principle
Slow, high-torque cutting with no heat or sparks.
    Output
Cable pieces of about 50 mm
  3. 03

    Granulation

Rotating knives chop the pieces into small chips, which frees the copper strands from their insulation.

    Equipment
    Rotary knife granulator
    Principle
Shear cutting down to 3–8 mm chips.
    Output
    Mixed copper + plastic chips
  4. 04

    Air & density separation

A vibrating air table separates the mix: heavy copper moves one way, light plastic floats the other.

    Equipment
    Air separation table
    Principle
Copper is about 8.9 g/cm³; PVC is about 1.4 g/cm³.
    Output
    Copper granules + plastic fraction
  5. 05

    Motors & coils

Motors, compressors and transformers are opened by hand and their copper windings removed.

    Equipment
    Dismantling benches, winding pullers
    Principle
Manual separation keeps copper, steel and aluminium apart.
    Output
    Copper windings, steel, aluminium
  6. 06

    Electrostatic cleaning

Remaining plastic fines are pulled out of the copper stream for higher purity.

    Equipment
    Electrostatic separator
    Principle
Conductive copper and non-conductive plastic respond differently to a charged field.
    Output
    High-purity copper
  7. 07

    Quality & dispatch

Copper is sampled, bagged, weighed and documented, then sent to rod mills and refiners to be melted.

    Equipment
    Sampling, bagging, weighbridge
    Principle
Copper doesn't lose its properties when recycled.
    Output
    Copper ready for remelting
Stacks of copper cathode

Safety first

No burning. No acid baths. No shortcuts.

Informal recycling burns cables and dissolves boards in open acid, harming workers and neighbourhoods and wasting most of the metal. Every stage here is mechanical, controlled or done by certified refiners, and every load is weighed and documented.
